The appearance of the tooth can be very much enhanced by covering the front surface with custom-made overlay. The tooth-colored overlay is made up of porcelain. The porcelain dental veneer can be completed in just one sitting. The lifespan of veneer is in between 5 and 10 years.
Who can go for veneers?
You can go for veneers if there is discoloration of teeth. The veneer is applied to overcome the broken or chipped teeth as well. It is possible to correct misaligned teeth. The unevenness and irregular shape can be addressed with the veneer. In some cases, veneers are prescribed to fill the gap in between two healthy teeth.
Veneers will improve the aesthetics. They are very thin and custom-made to fulfill the needs of customers. The front face of the teeth will be covered by porcelain veneers. The shell-shaped veneers will be bonded to the front of the teeth as per the size, color, length and shape of the teeth.
Even though veneers can be made from composite materials, porcelain veneers offer the highest level of resistance to stains. They will reflect the light in the same way as that of natural teeth.
Eligibility for veneers
Getting a dental veneer
You should pay at least two visits to manage dental veneers after the consultation. If you are eligible for dental veneers, you will want to attend one session for the preparation of veneers and the second session is required for applying the veneers. You can undergo veneer process for one or more teeth simultaneously.
The treatment will be planned and executed by the dentist as per the look that you would like to achieve with the procedure. After preparing the teeth, 0.5 mm of enamel will be removed from the tooth surface. The veneer of similar thickness will be added to the teeth. The dental veneer will be fitted on the teeth on a permanent basis. The veneer will be trimmed and bonded to the teeth to produce perfect shape and fit. The teeth will be cleaned, polished and etched before applying the veneer.

We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies recommendations. Based on the recommendations from ADA and CSDA into consideration and being mindful of the safety and well-being of our patients and staff, we have made the decision to open our offices from Wednesday May 13th for Emergencies and from Wednesday May 20th for routine dental treatments.
