Most people feel at least slightly anxious when going to the dentist. They are forgetful of the fact that they need to stay present at all times and ask the right questions. They would much rather just get the job done and get the heck out of there. But there are some things that you could ask your dentist if you wish to improve your experience. Below you will find some of the most important questions in this sense.
You should ask in-depth questions about your dental problems that have been diagnosed. You should never forget that dentist will charge you a rather handsome amount for any services. This means that you should use their expertise liberally. Ask anything that may interest you about the state of your teeth. If you have got cavities, then ask how is it that they have come to be. Don’t be afraid to share any details with your dentist. There is a doctor-patient confidentiality clause and the dentist won’t be able to share any private details with anyone about you.
If you go to any dental office, chances are that you will see posters or photos on the walls with diplomas and certificates of different kinds. If you want your teeth fixed in terms of cavities, then you shouldn’t go and visit any dental professional. You may inadvertently visit an orthodontist – they specialize in setting the structure of teeth correctly. So, if you have the opportunity, make sure to ask your dentist about what area do they specialize in. This will give you valuable info about the dentist themselves.
Again – dentists can charge huge sums of money for fixing your teeth. And not all people have this money at their side. If you have a really bad tooth pain and you don’t have the finances required to pay for a procedure – then don’t hesitate for a moment to ask the dentist for any discounts. They may happen to empathize with your financial problems and they may eventually give you a discount. You will be able to save money in this way.
When you go to a dentist’s office – make sure that you do some talking. You will surely find out some important information about the dental procedures that you will undergo and about other useful things. Don’t hesitate to ask anything that interests you.
Please select the office you visited.
Dear Patient,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies recommendations. Based on the recommendations from ADA and CSDA into consideration and being mindful of the safety and well-being of our patients and staff, we have made the decision to open our offices from Wednesday May 13th for Emergencies and from Wednesday May 20th for routine dental treatments.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 203-790-0111.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
Sincerely,
Dentist and Team
